Holistic health is the integration of the body/mind/spirit/soul. Consciously living in balance with nature and man. The utilization of alternative body modalities, herbs, guided imagery and meditation.
2. How does one integrate their body/mind/spirit/soul?
There is no one right way to accomplish integration. One can start with meditation, just allow the mind to slow down. Becoming more conscious of thoughts and language. Understanding the power of the mind and the connection between thoughts and reality. Practicing yoga is an excellent way to achieve body integration.
3. How does spirituality differ from religion?
Spirituality is all-inclusive and the belief in a higher power. Religion is a specific system of belief based on God.
4. Do I see a holistic health practitioner instead of my doctor?
Absolutely not! Ideally it is best to have your doctor, the holistic health practitioner and yourself work together. Holistic health therapy should supplement western medicine.
5. What type of training is necessary to become a holistic health educator?
It varies depending on the type of program a person completes. The two year graduate curriculum I completed included courses in psychology, group process, stress reduction, consciousness studies, and the introduction of several body modalities.
6. What is a licensed Spiritual Practitioner?
A licensed Spiritual Practitioner is someone who has completed at least four years of coursework, and has passed a written and oral examination. The coursework includes prayer work, meditation techniques, understanding the power of language, and a thorough understanding of the New Thought movement.

In my opinion faith means believing in the unseen, knowing that there is a force greater than man. It doesn’t matter what name you choose to call the force, it is universal.
